As a manufacturer of motorcycle and work safety clothing, we have the highest requirements for the quality of our products to ensure the safety of our customers. In addition to product certification, it is a matter of course for us as a company to achieve and continuously renew industry-relevant certificates and accreditations. Quality and environmental protection are our top priorities. That is why our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001 and our environmental management system to ISO 14001.

Since our company was founded over 75 years ago, quality has been one of the most important building blocks of our corporate philosophy. Thus, it is of great concern to us that not only our products achieve the highest quality through continuous quality controls, but that even our production processes meet the highest quality standards.

Environmental protection is an important part of our family business, which is managed by the fourth generation. In order to enable the continuation of Held GmbH in the long term, we involve all employees, suppliers, service providers and customers in our activities and thus strengthen environmental awareness.

In order to guarantee the sustainable use of resources, we develop new procedures and processes for environmentally friendly production in cooperation with our suppliers. We commit ourselves to continuous improvement of environmental performance by setting appropriate targets.

How to become “certified”?

  • PREPARATION

    In the preparation stage, all the necessary information about the company is collected. These describe the current status of the company and the intended scope of the certification process. On the basis of this, a certification body is appointed and a responsible lead auditor is named whose expertise and experience match the company profile.

  • PREVAUDIT

    Before the actual certification audit begins, the management system in question is subjected to a pre-audit. This pre-audit is not a mandatory part of the certification process, but represents a voluntary preliminary check. In this pre-audit, it is checked whether the respective management system and the documentation already fulfill all requirements and whether certification is possible.

  • CERTIFICATION AUDIT

    Following the pre-audit, which may have been carried out, the actual certification takes place, during which an external certifier checks the implementation of the requirements of the standards. The certification audit consists of two steps: certification audit stage I and certification audit stage II. There should be no more than 3 months between the execution of the certification audit stage I and II.

  • EVALUATION

    After the auditor has performed the certification audit, he prepares an audit report and evaluates the results obtained during the audit. After the audit report is prepared, a final meeting is held between the auditor and the company, during which the auditor presents the results.

  • CERTIFICATION

    When the audit is successfully completed, the company receives the certificate. This is valid for three years, but is reviewed annually by a surveillance audit.
