In the comparative test of the October issue of “Tourenfahrer”, rain two-piece suits from six manufacturers were tested for their waterproofness and properties such as aerodynamics, handling and workmanship. Our Rainblock Top & Base combination left nothing to chance and secured the test victory in this highly competitive category.
The sporty rain jacket Rainblock Top can be worn over the regular motorcycle jacket, as well as – with the help of Held Clip-In technology – as a membrane under the jacket. It has two outer pockets, an inner mesh pocket, Velcro closures at the arm cuffs and comes with a small pack pocket. The matching Rainblock Base pants have an elastic waist and a zipper-Velcro combination on the leg that opens just below the back of the knee, making them incredibly easy to put on and take off. A special anti-slip fabric on the buttocks ensures that contact with the seat remains even when wet.
The membrane of the Rainblock Top and Base Combi consists of a 2-layer material and is therefore waterproof and breathable at the same time. Reflective inserts on the chest, back and shoulders, as well as on the sides of the thighs and calves ensure improved perception by other road users in changeable weather and thus offer an additional safety feature.
Editor’s verdict: “The loops allow the breathable and pleasantly soft Held “Rainblock” to be clipped into jackets and pants equipped with the same system. The wide sleeve entry and the long zipper at the leg end grant the wearer willing access without waltzing in the wind. A sporty combo at an even sportier price.”
